In PEVESA research and development play a capital role sustaining the advance of the company. The different projects from R&D carried out in collaboration with groups of investigation with great experience in these fields and other companies for which the R&D is as important as for us.

Our advances have been made in a wide kind of applications although they all centre in the bioprocessing with natural sources and in the enzymatic technology. This is consequence of the many uses that the protein derivatives have and of the wide that the enzymatic technology is. These all concepts are under the direction of our strategic R&D plan.

We could mention, as example, our project about the culture media development to improve the heterologous protein expression in certain strains. Apart of this project we carried out works about biopeptides, and new raw materials on different scales, from the conceptual design to its pilot scale production.

In order to be able to make our work PEVESA has highly qualified and very experienced personnel in enzymatic technology, a product development laboratory and very a well equipped pilot plant; among other equipment we have biorreactor, spray dryers and dividing line solid-liquid.

We work for quality in every project developed. This fact is guaranteed by the several obtained subventions to the research obtained from the technological corporation of Andalusia, the IDEA Agency, the Ministry of industry and the CDTI.
